KDTU Hybrid bond CBN 20/14 ca. 1100 JIS
The KDTU manufactured CBN sharpening stones provide maximum comfort for the user. The new stones do not require opening of the working grains and maintain consistent productivity throughout their entire lifespan. They can be used on all types of steels, both dry and with lubricating fluids or various types of oils. Oiling is easily removed with oil or wet wipes. This CBN stone is hybrid bonded with advanced modified resins with the addition of non-ferrous metals and special components for better renewal and self-healing of the bar’s work surface. They show very high performance on hard and brittle steels without damaging the cutting edge.
KDTU stones have several distinctions and advantages over stones from other manufacturers:
- Versatility: KDTU stones are universal for both hard and soft steels. They show very high performance when processing hard and brittle steels without damaging the cutting edge
- High Efficiency: They effectively and quickly process steel
- Self-Renewing Surface: They have a very good ability to self-renew the working surface
- Cleaner Surface: During the roughing stage, they produce a cleaner surface, closer to the intermediate stage
- Flexible Use: They can work dry or with any type of emulsions and oils. Finish stones should ideally be used with oil to improve the surface finish of the blade
- Easy Cleaning: They are easily cleaned with oil or wet wipes
- Durability: Despite their soft operation, KDTU stones have very high durability, 2-4 times higher than any phenolic stones, and are close to the durability of copper stones
- Performance on Hard Steels: They can work with hard and powder steels at maximum hardening levels above 67 HRC without chipping the cutting edge of the knife, and can be used instead of soft abrasives at the finishing stage
- Easy Maintenance: They are very easy to dress at the leveling stage and quickly open up when it is necessary to increase the stone’s aggressiveness
