The whetstones of the Japanese manufacturer Imanishi have a medium hardness and allow a quick progress while grinding. They do not need too much water and the grinding feeling is close to a natural stone. Soaking the stone is not necessary as it takes up water immediately. The wear of the stone is limited. The Imanishi Best Series is suitable for carbon and high alloy steels.
