The diamond sharpening stones from the Russian manufacturer Venev are superbly processed. During production, monocrystalline diamonds are mixed with a binder and then shaped. This ensures an even distribution of the grinding diamonds over the entire width and thickness of the grinding stone, which ensures a homogeneous grinding pattern and a significantly longer service than cheaper polycrystalline diamonds that are often used. The diamond sharpening stones are suitable for creating cutting bevels or grinding out nicks in knives, planes and chisels. However, we still recommend waterstones for finetuning the blade, as the grain sizes are much finer here. Please moisten with water before and during use, dry use may clog the stone and will not produce a good work result.
